School Meals
At a cost of only £2.20 per day (£2 for nursery) we believe we provide one of, if not the, cheapest school dinners in Birmingham.
Our catering staff are all employed by the school so we have the flexibility to design our own menus and offer portion sizes that we feel are more appropriate to our pupils.
We are proud to have been awarded a 5 star rating for food hygiene. .
Some of our menu contains allergens including peanuts and other nuts, sesame, cereals containing gluten, eggs, milk, mustard, celery, fish, soya, molluscs, crustacea, lupin and sulphur dioxide/sulphites. If your child has a school meal and suffers from an allergen or has any intolerance, you must inform the school office.
Just as eating a healthy school dinner can help maintain your child's energy levels at school so can packing a healthy lunchbox.
Below are suggestions to provide your child with a healthy lunchbox: A good portion of starchy food i.e. bread roll, wraps, pitta or wholemeal bread with fillings of protein e.g. cheese, tuna or egg. Plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables like carrot sticks, cucumber, or peppers.
A milk based drink or a portion of diary food like cheese or a yogurt. Plenty of drinking water. Remember foods high in fat and sugar should be resisted.
